Director, Finfish Procurement
 
We are seeking an experienced professional to lead finfish procurement activities. This role will be responsible for the profitability of finfish product lines and communicating availability. Additionally the successful candidate will need to ensure proper focus is maintained on managing the variety of products including managing out those that don’t support company goals. Additionally, this professional must effectively interface with our China operations and procurement employees as well as our finfish vendors.
The Director, Finfish Procurement will coordinate, educate and interface with sales & marketing teams on all things finfish, as well as have responsibility for profitability and inventory management.
 
Experience & Skills
 5+ years experience with international sourcing with emphasis on Asia.
 3+ years experience with primary and/or secondary processing.
 5+ years experience in the seafood industry including aquaculture and wild resources.
 Demonstrated strength in managing finfish P&L.
 Must have finfish expertise including good industry contacts
 Demonstrated strength in understanding retail, restaurant and foodservice customer requirements.
 2+ years experience managing employees.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Strong skills in MS applications (Excel, Access, Word, Power Point)
Education
• B.A. degree required
 
 
 
  Sales Representatives:
 Parsipanny, NJ & Wichita, KS
 
We have an immediate need for sales reps for our New Jersey and Kansas offices. Depending on experience, these individuals may focus on sales support to start and if demonstrating the right kind of aptitude and skills will eventually move into sales.  
Some  of the key responsibilities might be:
  • New Customer Development
  • Existing Account Penetration
  • Re-activate sales with lost or inactive Aqua Star accounts
  • Specific product lines
  • Participate in internal and external training presentations.
  • Presentations to customers: company introduction and product line offerings.
  • Execution to goals established by Regional Manager and VP Foodservice Sales.
  • Travel required up to 20%: coordination and participation in Tradeshows.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 Experience & Skills

  •  1 to 3 years sales experience
  • Seafood experience is a major plus.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Effective phone skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • MS applications (basic/ functional)

 Education & Skills

 AA degree or BA degree highly preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
